2024’s best live and video shopping news

  1.  🏦 TikTok Shop: The £1Million Club

The success of Canvas Beauty, Made by Mitchell, and P.Louise's live shows have become a benchmark for businesses selling on TikTok Shop. The £1Million Club has 12 active UK sellers as of December 2024, including L'Oréal, Free Soul, and Luxe Collective. 2.7 million items were sold by the top 25 brands on TikTok Shop in Q3 2024, generating a combined revenue of £54.1 million.

  2. 🚺 Zara Streaming

Zara hosted its first livestream shopping show on its website on the 27th September 2024 in select countries including the UK, US and Central Europe. It featured renowned model Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kair Gerber in their latest Autumn/Winter collection, styled by French art director and photographer Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. On Facebook and Instagram, the promo videos have received more than 400k views.

  3. 🎦 YouTube Shopping

Over the course of 2024, YouTube has evolved its shoppable features and now operates in Korea, Indonesia, and India. The company has formed strategic partnerships with Flipkart, India's leading e-commerce marketplace and Myntra, a leading fashion, beauty, and lifestyle website. We should expect to see more trajectory in 2025 as analysts predict YouTube‘s share of livestream shopping will rise to 28 percent by 2028.

  4. 🌐 Shein’s live shopping debut on X, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram

On 25th February 2024, Shein hosted a three-hour global multi-live stream in-app and X, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. A variety of short interviews with influencers styling clothes and sponsored ads were featured on the show, which was hosted by their internal teams. Instagram had the highest number of viewers throughout the 3-hour event, followed by Facebook, YouTube, and X. An additional multi-live stream took place on the 24th of September 2024.

  5. 🎙️GaryVee vouches for live shopping

The entrepreneur and investor shared a post on LinkedIn and spoke on CNBC about live social shopping being a major trend in 2025. He urged businesses to leverage platforms like TikTok Shop and Whatnot to engage with customers and sell products in real-time. He advised businesses to adopt a multichannel approach to stay competitive and the importance of being an early adopter in this emerging market.
